If you are a long drive from Whole Foods or just looking for some great deals on fresh, mostly local, organic produce, as well as organic meat, dairy, eggs, and other grocery items- give Get Green Organics a try! I have been a member now for almost two months and I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality and ease of this food buying club. The wide selection, competitive pricing, and outstanding customer service make it a great value. All of the ordering and payments are done online. You simply show up and pick up your goods. Most of the time there is surplus, so you can buy extra if you wish. There’s no work involved! If something you order does not look fresh or is not what you thought it would be they will promptly refund your money. They have also refunded money to me for produce that went bad a couple of days after purchase. That beats the usual drive to the store for a return!
On our most recent pickup we have enjoyed super fresh organic strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cilantro, mangoes, watermelon and flame grapes. Much of it was consumed as soon as we returned home!
There are pickup locations in Winter Park (near Whole Foods), Oviedo, and Avalon Park. The company is looking for Independent Sales Associates to market the business as well as hosts for pickup sites. You can find out more about the company and pickup locations from the Get Green Organics website.

Is the produce all local? Eating local can be hard in FL this time of year, but I know it can have a big impact on the environment (Reduce those Carbon Emmissions). I struggle with the choice of eating organic vs. eating local. Sometimes, but rarely, you can have both.
Is anyone else here apart of the Local Food Movement?
The service looks good to me, but most of the links I tried to click on their web site did not work. I was not able to access the location maps or any of the product/pricing lists. I sent an email to their sales department requesting that they let me know when the web site is operational.
I’m having the same problem. I’d like to support local farms but also try to eat organic. It’s something I really struggle with…Thoughts?
With our business we try and buy Florida-grown whenever possible. We have now started carrying eggs from a farmer located in Ocoee… they aren’t certified organic, but they are free-range, natural eggs. Buying from Florida growers is a big concern for people here in Central Florida! That is why it is so great that other local businesses such as Dandelion Communitea and Infusion Tea are also helping to support local Floridians!
Hi Tonie, the website is working. Maybe it was down temporarily. Also, Get Green Organics does buy local first, and then from within the US. They are expanding around the Central Florida area with co-op pick up locations in College Park, Lake Mary, and Dr. Phillips. The company is looking for co-op managers who want to make an income.
We currently use Get Green and have been very happy with them!
In addition to produce they have meats, dairy, wheatgrass, and other things as well.
If anyone knows of anyone interested in setting up a buying club in the Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch or Bradenton areas , or if anyone you know has interest in organic home delivery, please let us know. My husband and I are in the process of starting our own company called Front Door Organics (www.frontdoororganics.net )and will be delivering organic produce, dairy, meats & poultry, bakery and limited grocery items starting in June. My husband has been in the organic produce business for the past 10 years (past 25 in produce) and we felt like there just aren’t enough options for good local and organic products and decided to start our own company. Anyone interested can email us on our site or call us at 941 755-0750.
Thanks!
