While shopping in Mount Dora today, the ‘Let’s Go Green’ sign in the window of Piglet’s Pantry caught my eye. I stopped to check out their summer campaign. Their concern with the environmental impact of plastic bags has prompted them to offer a discount to all of their customers when no bag is needed.
From June 15 through September 30, the store is giving 2% off of the entire purchase when no bag is needed or 5% off if one of their custom reusable tote bags is also part of the purchase. After the campaign, customers will continue to receive the 5% discount each time they use their bag for the life of the tote.
Piglet’s Pantry is a gourmet doggie bakery that uses healthy, wholesome and all-natural ingredients with no added salt, sugar or preservatives. Since the tainted dog food scare, the store has also been selling frozen raw dog food. I have not made a purchase yet, so I cannot comment personally on the store’s products.
