Leaves & Roots, located at 9434 E. Colonial Drive just West of Econlockhatchee Trail and East of the 417 on the South side of Colonial, is an herb buyers delight! From the outside it is very easy to miss and you need to really look carefully but once inside it is well organized and everything is easy to find. However should you have difficulty I have found the staff is always available to assist.
Leaves and Roots offer a decent amount of organic herbs, but as I recently learned myself quite a few herbs although not labeled organic, because they have not been grown according to the standards, are grown with little to no pesticides because the herb naturally repels pests. When I asked why they do not carry everything in organic I was told that they carry what they are able to get and sometimes finding the organic is difficult. However, they also offered to try to get anything I was looking for that they did not have.
The staff is extremely helpful, while they cannot legally provide advice on which herbs to use for what, they are great at directing you to their internal library so you can do your own research. They have a good amount of books available in the store in a little room with a table and chairs where you can sit and read to your hearts content. They also have a photocopy machine should you need one! As there are a few herbs I buy in bulk I have found calling ahead, 407 823-8840, works best. This gives them the opportunity to package it and have it ready when I get there saving me time!

In addition to carrying herbs, they carry tinctures/extracts, incense, some candles, sage/smudge sticks, a few miscellaneous health care products, pre-mixed herbs for teas based on “condition” (such as a Children’s Tea - to calm children or Pregnancy Tea), ear candles, a range of glass containers and essential oils too.
When I first visited the store it was not what I expected, being an older store front and very earthy, but have come to love it feeling very at home whenever I am there. Every experience I have had at Leaves and Roots has been a positive one, which for me is rare!

The day after your fire, I came to your store with intent to brag to my sister-in-law about you and your store and much to my dismay I saw your letter about the terrible fire posted in your window, I apologize for not writing sooner, but want you to know how sorry I am about the incident.If I can be of any assistance as far as helping you guys get the store back in order, please feel free to contact me, I would be willing to volunteer some of my free time on some weekends. I recently ordered some Essiac Tea from your website, however after receiving it in the mail, I realized I ordered the Essiac powder instead of the Essiac in the tea blend (cut Leaf form) , so I would like to mail it back, but dont know if the address on my box is correct. I just got my order today only to find that my smoking blend was not in it, I was gutted, As a former smoker, this stuff helps me stay off tobacco. I am shaking i need the stuff so bad or I will be tempted to smoke. But I guess this is just a test. Anyways we love your store it is our second home and I will be more than happy to rally up a great number of people to help restore the wonderful location we call our spiritual medicine chest.
