Walt Disney World recently hosted an Evironmental Products & Services Expo exclusively for Disney Cast Members and their families. The Expo welcomed over 1,500 attendees and featured 50 companies, related non-profits and internal Disney partners.
“The goal of the Expo is to have Cast walk away motivated to go out and do something new that benefits conservation and the environment,” said Becky Grieser, manager, Walt Disney World Environmental Initiatives.
At the Expo Cast Members were able to learn about solar energy, wildlife conservation and were able to purchase evironmentally-friendly products for their home.
The Expo was part of Disney’s environmental and conservation initiative and they have also developed Disney’s Evironmentality. This is an area of their corporate website that features extensive information on going green at home, at work and at school. With Jiminy Cricket as the Environmentality initiative mascot website visitors are sure to have fun as they learn about this important topic. Stop by the website to take the Disney’s Environmentality Challege, learn about X Games Environmentality or spend some time with Remy (the mouse from Ratatouille) as he makes the switch to energy saving light bulbs.

Kristy has a three-year old son and since his birth she’s been researching to find healthier ways to do things and live a life of less impact. In a city that is less than “crunchy” it has been an adventure and she hopes to share some of what she’s learned both here and at her store Wee Willie Winks where she offers cloth diapers and other earth/child friendly parenting solutions.
I exhibited there for the Holistic Moms Network! It was a great event with many great local vendors. I can’t wait to do it again next year.
