A new chapter of the Holistic Moms Network is now forming in Orlando and will be holding an Open House at the University UU Society, 11648 McCulloch Road in Orlando on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. There will be several items raffled off at the Open House and food and beverages will be served!
The Holistic Moms Network is a rapidly growing national non-profit organization providing support to moms interested in natural health, holistic living, and mindful parenting. Members of the Holistic Moms Network offer one another support and resources, while sharing information on a variety of topics including organic food, breastfeeding, natural childbirth, positive discipline, and alternative medicine.
The organization, which was founded in New Jersey in 2003, currently has more than 100 chapters in 30 states across the US and Canada.Executive Director, Nancy Massotto, attributes the remarkable growth of the organization to a “budding natural health movement” that is spreading across the country. Moms, dads, grandparents, partners, and other caregivers are all welcome to join the organization.
The Orlando Area Chapter meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the University UU Society and welcomes volunteer guest speakers on a variety of holistic lifestyle topics. April will be a community building meeting and May will host Jolly Green Planet on organic gardening and composting. I’m looking forward to getting to know Holistic Moms and am excited for the Orlando chapter!
Me too! I’m excited to meet like-minded moms in my area. See you there!
glad to see there is a network of moms with the same goal! if not at the meeting, please keep me on your email!
i am so stoked to see there is a holistic mom’s group in central florida (i live in brevard county). i am sorry to miss the first meeting, but look forward to meeting other conscientious families and getting involved with the network. please put me on the email list if there is one.
I’m excited to see this group forming in the Orlando area. When is the next meeting and where? At the UU church?
Glad to find this site! My husband is interviewing for a job in the area and I don’t even know where to go for information on schools, nice places to live, organic food stores, etc. Any suggestions? Have two boys – 6 and 9….
Hi! I’m new to the area and looking to meet up with other moms who choose a natural approach to raising their families. I have a three year old little boy and am almost six months pregnant with a little girl, due in July. I’m really wanting to do what’s best for my family here and have met some road blocks…. no raw milk? How can this be? Can someone point me in the right direction? And who do you guys suggest for pediatricians in the area? I’d love to find someone who won’t call me crazy for thinking it’s crazy to stab my child with needles full of mercury and asbestoes
But now I’m rambling. I don’t have family in the area and could really use some happy faces in my life. Thanks to all!!!
