I will never go back to Advanced Eyecare. They billed me $123 for an eye exam, $92.65 for a contact lens fitting, and $60. I called VSP to find out how much benefit was available, they said none, and brought to my attention that $60 was charged for contacts that were not ordered/received. I called AECF to find out what happened to the lenses they billed for. Was told they prebilled the $60 to the insurance company as a convenience to me, and that there was a $60 credit available to me at thier store until Dec 31 - use it or lose it. I was unaware of this pre-billing and $60 credit until Nov 4th. Seems rather unethical and possibly illegal to prebill an insurance company. Never again.

I couldn't disagree more with the previous post regarding Advanced Eyecare of Central Florida. I went in to renew my contact lens prescription and ended up getting dragged around their office, trying to get me to buy into anything they had to sell. They tried getting me to buy: prescription sunglasses, much more expensive contacts, AOK - an alternative to Lasik. It was horrible. 2 hours of trying to "up-sell" me on everything. I will NEVER go back. I felt like I was being dragged around a used-car lot.
