I recently learned of a business in Sanford that sells all natural, beeswax balms. I was excited to try the product after reading that the ingredients (in addition to beeswax) included shea butter and aloe vera. There are several varieties of the balm. I got to test out the lavender, banana/coconut, and frankincense/myrrh. My favorite was the banana/coconut! The products have been around for five years. There are many testimonials on the Beeswax Balm Co. website.

Have you tried their products? I would love to hear how these work out when used with babies and young children. I bet the natural version would make a great diaper cream! (They don’t mention anything about using the balms with children on the website.)
I’m still learning about the company, but I wanted to get their info out there. I believe it’s important to support local businesses whenever possible.
Quite interesting and informative news.Is those balms are eatable?then i would love Banana and Coconut composition.
I bought several balms for my Christmas “bee theme” gift bags that I gave as gifts. I kept one to try on my 7 year old son who has very dry skin. My son complained bitterly about the product, stating that it was too “thick.” He refused to use it. From my perspective, the balm has a very pleasant smell, but the texture isn’t what I tend to like in a skin product. I tend to prefer something that “soaks into the skin” and this feels like it lays on top of the skin. It does leave your skin very soft though, and I do love the all-natural ingredients.
Hi, Lisa
Thank you for your candid comment on our All Natural Beeswax Healing Balm. A few thoughts… first, it’s obvious you felt that your skin felt very soft. This was due to the penetration of the product. Our balm is not a lotion and it is meant to have a thicker consistency because of the organic and natural ingredients used in the product. Other products that are more watery, like lotions, also tend to have additives and chemicals that contribute to the lighter consistency. Because our products are high-quality and have very rich ingredients, it will depend on a person’s skin type as to how much to apply and this is determined through quick trial and error. If it’s too thick, try much less. Rub it in fully and allow for the penetration of the product. This is the uniqueness of the product - once penetrated, the beeswax goes into the pores without clogging the pores which leaves the skin renewed, soft and silky. We’re sorry to hear that your son felt it was too thick. We have a lot of customers who love the product and actually use it on their children who have rashes, eczema and psoriasis. It has been the only thing that has helped with their skin irritations. We hope you give it another try!

I got a chance to try it as a diaper rash cream since my little one was experiencing some irritation. It worked GREAT in just one day.
