Central Florida Green Guide

I was recently given a set of ACME Bags Workhorse Shopping Bags, the self-proclaimed “World’s Smallest Shopping Set.”  They may be small, but they sure are mighty!

This four pack of silicone coated nylon bags are stylish, lightweight and durable.  Each bag weighs under 1.3 ounces, so you don’t have to lug around the weight of a canvas bag.  And they’re really durable, too.  The lightweight bag can carry up to 30 pounds or 320 times its weight!

I got a four pack of the Melon colored bags and am really impressed with the color.  They’re cheerful and stylish and something that would might actually want to be seen carrying!  In fact, the bag would double for a tote or sling purse if you really needed it to. Colors come in steel, silver, melon, light blue or a combo pack.

While the handles are a little closer together than some other reusable bags, making the opening a little narrower than traditional reusable bags, it hasn’t been a problem so far.  In fact, my supermarket cashier was able to fit in quite a few pizzas in the bag quite easily even with a narrower opening.

The set comes in a four pack, each individually wrapped in its own carrying sack (which is attached to the bag), within a larger stuff sack that can also be reused to carry snacks or stuff plastic bags inside.  Altogether, the entire pack is only the size of a grapefruit. It’s perfect for splitting up and creating four different gifts with each individual bag.
