Did you know that we had our very own local vegan hot dog stand? Yup, you can find the vegan hot dog guy around town with his delicious vegan hot dogs and home made vegan chili topping. Generally you’ll find him on weekends downtown next to Lizzy McCormicks by Orange & Washington. He also brings his hot dog stand to various local events such as vegetarian picnics, the fair trade day celebration at Dandelion, etc.
I have to admit that at first I was hesitant to taste these vegan hot dogs. I’m a vegetarian who’s very picky about my veggie hot dogs. In the past I’ve tasted veggie hot dogs that were pretty gross. I only like the Morningstar brand of veggie dogs and due to my past experiences I was hesitant to try this vegan hot dog. Well, the vegan hot dog guy (as he is known) brought over a complementary hot dog for me and let me just say it was yuuuuuummmmy!
I do hope you’ll try one for yourself. Maybe he’ll be at the Sparkle event this Saturday at Dandelion?

Very cool! I would love to taste his vegan chili especially when the temperatures start to drop.
We definitely like his hot dogs. I’ve only ever had them at the Central FL Veg Fest. My only complain was that he only had REGULAR ketchup available. That kind of surprised me since regular ketchup has high fructose corn syrup. My son was disappointed because he couldn’t have ketchup on his hot dog. I’d love to see him offer organic ketchup!!
